This hands-on course provides a foundational understanding of infectious diseases, how disease transmission is reduced and prevented in healthcare and resources available to educators. Hands on activities, including donning and doffing PPE and effective hand hygiene and disinfectant use will be demonstrated to give educators basic knowledge of these critical processes and how to implement these activities in their classrooms.
Learning Objectives: 1. Understand where germs live, how they are transmitted to cause infection, and what strategies we can use to prevent infection. 2. Identify resources available to help support effective IPC education in Healthcare CTE Classrooms. 3.
