Learn how Cross County and David City high schools created student-run coffee businesses through hands-on learning. In the fall of 2024, Cross County’s special education and FCS departments launched Cougar Coffee, a collaborative effort to bring work-based learning to students. Meanwhile, David City’s culinary class developed a school-based coffee enterprise. This session will cover business planning, menu development, operations, and financial management while highlighting student roles, career activities, and key lessons learned.
