About me
Kim Andersen is the Registered Apprenticeship Director at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska. She has spent the last 5 years of her career working with apprenticeship and growing the apprenticeship system in Northeast Nebraska. Her first experience with apprenticeships started at Nebraska Department of Labor as a Workforce Coordinator, where she conducted business outreach to educate them on the apprenticeship model. In October 2019 she became the Registered Apprenticeship Coordinator at Northeast. At Northeast she has developed eight registered apprenticeship programs, partnered with over 20 employers and registered over 35 apprentices. She has spent countless hours educating students, businesses and the general public on the apprenticeship model and that it can be utilized for more than traditional apprenticeable occupations. Kim has the knowledge and experience to continue to propel the apprenticeship program forward and looks forward to continuing that work at Northeast.
